How many marks needed to get seatS in IIT'S, NIT'S and IIIT'S ?
Hello
The difficulty level of question paper of JEE main and advanced is different for different years if you look at the cutoff of JEE advanced then you can clearly see the difference some time is it is 35% and sometime it goes down to 20% due to changes in the difficulty level also the maximum marks for JEE advanced is not fixed and it keeps on changing every year for instance in the year 2015 it was something around 500 but in the year 2016 it was around 400. In case of JEE main the maximum marks is fixed but from this year onwards the national testing agency is going to conduct JEE main exam and from this year onwards amon will be conducted twice a year once in the month of January and other in the month of April in different sessions and the scores of each session will be normalised to avoid any kind of partiality and the scores are calculated converted into percentile scores and based on the percentile scores of best of the two exams for those who appeared in the both the ranks will be calculated and the admission to IIT NIT is best only on the ring and not the marks so even though if you score good marks but if the question paper is easy and everyone is course good marks then it does not mean that you will get a good college it all depends upon your rank and there is a very large range which got admission into NIT and IIT for instance if you consider the admission into IIT the admission is offered up to the rank of 10,000 so even if you is ko anything between these rank then you will get some IIT but what it and what branch it actually depends upon your think similarly in case of NIT if a student from general category got a rank below 30000 then he or she may get at least some NIT but the actual and it and branch will depend on your actual rank is there are many IIT and NIT and each have many department therefore there is a lot of combinations possible so based on your interest you will feel the choices when the portal of joint seat allocation authority will begin it will perhaps begin soon after the result of JEE advanced is announced.
if you look at the previous years Trends then in case of chairman if a person is cause more than 250 marks then there are quite a good chances that he get into very good NIT andsorry score above 150 there are chances that a student belong to general category get a seat in to NIT in case of JEE advanced for a general category student to take a seat at least if you follow the previous years Trends then mostly around 50% marks are required to grab a seat into IIT for a student belong to general category but is mentioned this marks not fixed and instruments are made on the basis of previous years Trends but as JEE advanced is more random and every year student see lot of changes so you can also see some of the variations in the actual exam so this prediction may not be close to the actual result.
By this time you shouldn't very much worry about the ranks because it is what you get based on your preparation so just focus on your studies because it is a well known fact that how much score you more the better your rank and is the ring will be better you will end up with a better college there for you should just remember this fact that you need to score more and more marks it is as much as you can you score therefore duster focus on the complete syllabus follow all the exam guidelines and be patient don't bother much about this course just do whatever you know and avoid negative marking.
Hope this Helps
All the best!!!
