Hi

It's quite difficult to make prediction but yes as per previous year trends, to get 99 percentile in obc category you should target at least around 150 marks. And with 150 marks your obc rank will be around 2500 and common rank around 10,000 ,for this rank vs marks vs percentile you can refer to our page for which link is provided below:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp#referrer=https://www.google.com&csi=1

These above  rank / percentile are just estimated rank and percentile, the actual rank/ percentile will vary a bit as above prediction is on the basis of past year trends but rank /percentile  keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination for different shifts of the exam etc

Also,

You can predict your rank using rank predictor at

With predicted 2500 obc rank you have chances in NITs for example you have chances in

  • Nit uttarakhand :- Computer Science and Engineering

  • Nit jamshedpur :- Computer Science and Engineering

  • Nit patna :- Computer Science and Engineering

And a few more

For this you can refer to our page for which link is provided below:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination etc so to have a clear picture of the colleges in which you have chances and to get the complete list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our jee main college predictor at

Now that,

You are going to appear for jee mains 2021 , so you should be focusing on your preparation,

  • practising chapterwise questions

  • then revising the chapters,

  • solve at least previous 10 year question papers as concept behind the question often gets repeated in the examination so it will be of great help in your preparation  ,

  • go through mock test papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.

Thankyou

Hello candidate,

JEE Mains examination academic year 2021 is held in for four Attempts, and hence the cutoff this year is likely to be higher than previous years because of more number of chances.

But, it's not possible to predict the exact marks which you need to get in order to score above 99 percentile because even the first attempt of the examination has not started till yet.

Use the Rank Predictor for more details,

Hope it helps!!
