On the basis of rank the cutoff is:

for VIT vellore, for ECE department the rank cutoff is 15500.

for VIT vellore, for CSE branch the rank is 7500.

a student who scores a rank in a range of 7k -27k gets an admission mostly.

Marks will be mostly 70% of total marks. Prepare well and understand the concepts such that you won't get confused in the exam hall. Give your best in the exam.

VIT Vellore is a good private engineering college. And to get admission into VIT, one have to appear for VITEEE. Total marks assigned for the paper is 125, each question is of 1 mark and there is no negative marking in the paper. So its obvious that most of the students attempt all the questions in the exam, which creates a good competition.

You have showed interest in ECE branch at VIT Vellore, i.e main campus. If you manage to score around 90 marks in VITEEE then there are chances that you'll get CSE branch at Vellore. But VIT never discloses marks of the students so its difficult to tell the exact marks that you should score to get a particular branch. Below 7000 ranks in VITEEE will fetch you Computer Science & Engineering, under 13000 ranks will land you Electronics and Communication Engineering and under 19000 ranks will fetch you Mechanical Engineering at VIT Vellore campus.

General trends of the previous year shows that if you secure a rank between 14000 to 16000 the you can easily get ECE branch at vellore campus.
