Hi aspirent

In neet there will be required of minimum 500 mark for getting good government medical college. But in neet exam every year there is changed in neet cut off.

So my view is you should try to increase the neet score as much as possible for getting good college.

Best of luck.

Dear Student,

There is nothing called passing marks in NEET Exam. In NEET, it is qualifying marks rather which is 50th percentile for general category and 40th percentile for reserved categories. Try to score 550+. Then you'll definitely get a good medical college.

If you want to score good marks in NEET then just follow simple steps -

Clear your basic concepts.

Be thorough with NCERT textbook. Its a must.

Solve previous year question papers.

Take mock tests to assess your progress.

Solve questions from any reference book you prefer for competitive exams

Solve as much as numerical possible.

Use shortcuts to solve to save your time. Formulas to be at your Fingertips.

All the best !

In NEET 2017, students securing around 550+ could get an MBBS seat through AIQ. Marks less than that could fetch them seats through state quota only.

Also the cut offs have been on a rise for the last 3-4 years (I have observed for this time so).

Also it depends on your category. UR needs much higher score than the other categories.

Hi Jhonson, As per your query about marks to get admission through All india quota which is 15% of total seat in govt colleges.... One thing you have not specifically under which category.. Because it differs in open/sc/obc/st categories.... Secondly marks is a quite variable matter as it will change each yr based on the difficulty level of the paper.. What is more constant in determining the probability of getting govt college seat is Rank.... Even than going by previous yrs trend around 580 which fetch you a govt medical college.... If looking for better college score shud cross 600....

Hopefully it helps

Hi Johnson, marks needed for admission depends on the difficulty level of ques. paper. But to secure a seat in a good govt. Medical college through all India Quota, you should try to score above 600 according to the competition last yr.
It would be easier for u to get a govt college through state quota.Through state quota,u can get a college if you score 550+. It varies from state to state.
Hope this helps..!!

I am guessing that after attending your coaching, you might be having approx. 6-7 hours to study at home.Start with revising whatever has been taught. That would take approx 1-2 hrs. Then complete all the H.W. given-practice sheets etc. Then if time is left, practice any topic covered previously.Hope this helps..!!

It depends on ur state that whether u will get ur state college on less marks or all India college basically this year cutoff was a bit higher so around 7000 rank got admission from all India around 530 marks but usually it's 510 around for unreserved category ..

There are barely a few thousand seats to get through the all India quota, and if you throw in reservation, that competition gets even tougher! This year, the closing rank for an all India quota seat was in the upper 500s and you should easily look to score 600+ as competition will only increase. A score of 600+will most likely ensure a seat through all India quota, but not necessarily a good one. You should aim even higher, to mid 600s for a good seat. Work hard, and best of luck!
