I am assuming that by free seat you are refering to admissions done on merit or convener seats under Category A, since its fee is very less comparatively to category B and C seats. You may get a rough idea as to the marks you need to score to get admission on Category A seat in Deccan College of Medical Science from previous year admission data.

In 2017, the last open category male candidate who got admission on Category A seat in Deccan Medical College scored 477 marks, while last open category female candidate who admission on Category A seat in the same college scored 474 marks out of 720.
