In order to get a government medical college in Karnataka , you may approach either through the All India Quota if you have a rank below 10K and belongs to another state. If you have the benefit if state domicile , then you may go through the 85% state quota counselling. For a government seat a score of 550-600 is idea and safe and if is through state counselling 500+ is the minimum you will need but sometimes for government quota seats in private colleges a score of 450+ may be fine too. It all depends on factors like number of seats available, number of applicants and your category (cutoffs vary with categories).For private colleges it again varies with good or standard colleges demanding above 400 and low ranked ones for 200-300 or above.
