You haven't mentioned the State you belong to. This is important because even Category B seats are filled through State Counselling and you can participate only in State Counselling if you hold the domicile of that State. The only exception is Karnataka because Karnataka is an Open State. The other way to secure a seat in Management Quota is to wait until all the rounds of Counselling are over and then opt for Direct admission. And then your Category also matters because the cut offs are different for different Categories. For example, if you belong to AP, then you can participate in Karnataka State Counselling but not in Kerala State Counselling and you can only opt for Direct admission for B Category seats in Kerala.
