Dear Aspirant,
There are around 511 medical colleges across the India out of which 250 are government and 261 are private colleges and they have around 83,175 seats, where you can take admission. Out of which 41,000 something seats are the government seats and rest are private. Also there are 15 AIIMS and 2 JIPMER Institutes and for these there are 1205 seats in AIIMS and 200 seats in JIPMER .
