HORANADU KANNADIGA suggests nominees who dwell outside of Karnataka State but they speak their mother tongue which is Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava. Reservation is not there specifically for this category but is desirable for Karnataka state government quota seats. Provided that they pass a Kannada Language test for it.
The standards of domicile must be satisfied by the candidates who are wanted for KEA MBBS admission for the Government seats
The eligibility measures involve:-
The aspirant's mother tongue must be Kannada/Tulu/Kodava and they must have studied for 7 years in the Kannada-speaking area of Akkalkot or South Sholapur or Gadhinglaj or Jath Taluks of Maharashtra State / Hosadurga or Kasargod or Manjeshwar Taluks of Kerala State.
The candidate who obtains a minimum of 12 marks in the Kannada Language test is desirable for this reservation.
The counseling for MBBS seats is done by Karnataka Examination Authority. There is a total of 19 govt med colleges and 30 private colleges.
There is a total of 2776 seats for govt quota, 747 seats for the Hyderabad - Karnataka region, and 249 seats for various special allotments
Govt seat allotment - All seats in govt colleges are dedicated under govt seat quota.
The tuition fees range from 50 k - 1 LPA in govt colleges.
Admission in private institutions through govt allotment expenses is 1.5 LPA.
