how many minimum A level subjectsare requird for foreigh students doing cambridge board?
Dear Aspirant,
Hope you are doing well!
Students who have passed their 12th from foreign boards have to obtain a 'PRIMA FACIE' eligibility letter from Mumbai University for first year courses. Here is the address for that:
The University of Mumbai, Eligibility Section, Kalina Campus, Santacruz (East), Mumbai – 400 098
Also, it is important for you to have passed your exams in the first attempt.
The aggregate is calculated out of 4 subjects at a +2 level and the subjects are also dependent on the eligibility criteria for your individual course. The subjects which are not to be calculated in these main 4 are All Dance courses, All Music Courses (with the exception of BSc. Mass Communication and MSc. Multimedia), All Vocational courses, SUPW, Agriculture, Arts/Fine Arts (with the exception of BSc. Mass Communication and MSc. Multimedia), Security, Work Experience, Fabric Study, Environmental studies, Environmental Science, Environmental Education, Gen. Foundation Course, Electricity/ Electrical Courses, Fashion studies, Heritage craft, Home Science, Painting (with an exception of M.Sc. in Multimedia), Salesmanship, Physical education, Fashion Designing, Entrepreneurship, Health Education and Floriculture.
The aggregate must be more than 45% and the candidate must have passed in all the papers. The candidates who have given the GCE are eligible if they have passed 2 'A' Level exams and '3' O level exams. Only subjects which have been passed at 'A' levels can be taken as subjects for honours and if it is a combination course, the subjects for eligibility for that particular course should be the subjects at 'A' level. But make sure your 'A' level is completed at the time of application.
Hope this helps! All the best!
