Dear,
Under CBCS (choice based credit system) you are judged on the basis of grades. Overall marks of a paper 100 segregated into two parts;
External 75 + Internal 25 =100
To pass in a particular subject You need 40% minimum marks .
So it makes out to be 40 out of 100.
But passing criteria also depends on the marks separately on external and internal.
So according to 40% rule,
External total marks = 75
So you need to get atleast 30 to get passed.
Internal total marks = 25
So you need to score minimum 10 to get passed.

I'm from R09 regulation lateral entry student... I'm having 3 subjects backlogs,, I'm keeping 2 subjects for exemption... Remaining one subject I'm thinking to keep for grace marks..so in that grace marks subject im having 14 internal marks and secured 18 marks in external + 6 marks as grace marks... Total 38 including grace marks... Now Can i write CBT EXAM to improve internal marks to get total 40 marks... Am I eligible??
If eligible and wrote exam and got 16 internal marks. Then my total will be 40 marks... But is it possible for me to pass if I'm having 18 external marks + 6 grace =24 in external?? Please reply and help me.. Can i pass with 24 marks in external exam???
