Change of one degree longitude corresponds to 4 minutes from Greenwich meridian line. Earth takes 24x60 minutes to complete one revolution and it is divided into 360 longitudes. So from dividing this we get the figure of 4 minutes.
So with the 1 degree change in longitude from the greenwich meridian line time increases by 4 minutes or we can say that if we move 15 degree longitude time changes with 1 hour.
