how many muscles in human body
Hello,
First of all what is muscle a muscle is a band or bundle of fibrous tissue in a human or animal body that has the ability to contract, producing movement in or maintaining the position of parts of the body.
There are basically 3 types of muscles present in human body
1. Skeletal muscles (which moves us) :- Skeletal muscle is a voluntary muscle, which means that we can actively control its function. It's attached to the bone and forms a distinct organ of muscle tissue, blood vessels, tendons, and nerves that covers our bones and allows movement.
2. Cardiac muscles ( which moves our blood ) :-Cardiac muscle also called heart muscle or myocardium.
3. Smooth muscles (which moves our bowels etc. ) :- Smooth muscle fibers are located in walls of hollow visceral organs, except the heart, appear spindle-shaped, and are also under involuntary control.
There are about 700 named skeletal muscles in the human body, including roughly 400 that no one cares about except specialists. There is just one important cardiac muscle. There are literally countless smooth muscles which do the work of the autonomic nervous system, mostly squeezing and squishing stuff in tubes.
