Hello candidate,
The minimal NEET score necessary for admission to a government college is determined by whether the candidate is admitted through state quota or all India quota. The All India Quota allocates 15% of seats in each government medical college across the country. If the individual achieves the required score, they would be eligible to apply to any college in India. The minimal mark required to be considered for an All India quota seat is roughly 520, but this varies depending on the quality of the colleges. On the other hand, a candidate can only apply through the state quota if they live in that state. Through this programme, 85 percent of seats at government medical colleges are made available to students from that state.
So , for admission into private college you only need to get the minimum cutoff of your category like if this year the cutoff goes to 190 for general then you should max 190 above to get admission into any private colleges for MBBS.
But if you want admission into a government college then you have to work very hard and get maximum around 650+ for admission into government college with general category.
Hope this helps!
Assuming youre from General Category, You must target atleast 550+/720 in NEET, to secure a seat in some of the Good Government or State Medical Colleges with good faculty, infrastructure and hospital facilities.
