Dear Amrit, as per the official information, 4 Government Medical Colleges and 1 Private Medical College will start from this Academic year there by opening as many as 650 seats in West Bengal. The MCI has approved 5 Medical Colleges and 1 is pending approval. The four new government-run medical colleges at Diamond Harbour, Cooch Behar, Raiganj and Rampurhat will start with 100 seats each, while the private college  Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences & Sanaka Hospitals, Durgarpur will begin the session with 150 seats.
