Hi dear,

Hope you are doing well!

Now let's go through your question.

For admission in an Engineering college,

minimum percentage in 12th standard

varies from University to University as well as from

colleges to colleges.

Every University or colleges may have their

individual entrance exams  or they take on the basis of common engineering entrance

exam(JEE mains/ advance).

We can say that the percentage in boards is just a criteria only to make a student eligible and to be

considered for the admission in

engineering colleges.

But for your reference minimum 65%+

aggregate and around 75%+ in PCM is

considered to be minimum percent for one to

make to a good engineering colleges.

For getting into IITs,NITs,IIITs & GFTIs one must secure 75% in their boards(65% for SC/ST) and then must clear JEE.

Thank You!

If you want to take admission in any govt college of India then you should have at least 60%marks in PCM but for admission you should given the paper of JEE mains or state level engineering entrance exam but if you thinking admission in NIT OR IIT so the criteria for these institutions are at least 75%marks in 12th but if you have least marks in 12th and want to take admission in any govt college of India by counselling so for that you have the paper of JEE mains and secured rank upto 5lakh and 12th percentage is good then you can take admission in any govt college for more details please feel free to contact me Lalit Solanki 7895545761 hope you understand please upvote me

Hey Vaibhav,

According to your question, in class 12th you atleast need 85 to 95% to get admission in reputed government engineering college. It slso depends on your entrance exams for which you are appearing because your overall merit rank will decide your seat in government engineering college. For that your entrance exam marks should be good enough to get reputed college. Hope you find it useful.

Thank you.
