12th percentage really does not matter much when it comes to fashion designing courses. A decent 50% to 70% is more than enough. It is highly based on the entrance test and your skills or talents in drawing or designing etc. Creativity is very important. Talking about the most common entrance NIFT , the entrance merit is what is taken into consideration. If it is NIFT that you are aiming for then prepare well since it is not that easy syllabus .Hence, pay attention to the entrance,and prepare well and develop fashion related skills.

Hello Runjhun, I saw your comment on how to prepare for NIFT. The main purpose of this exam is to test your drawing skills and creativity hence you primary focus should be on sharpening that. So practice, keep drawing daily until you gain confidence to draw without an eraser. Also attention to detail and speed is very important. Read from difference sources to gain general knowledge and ideas to improve your imagination skills which will be useful for poster designing. You can refer all previous year questions or this sample papers through books from good publishers like Arihant. Analyse the pattern and know at what standard you should present your paper. Apart from main artistic skills , you should have a decent hold on high school math and of course english is very important for creative writing, so read as well as write on a daily basis and evaluate it. Also yes one more important subject you should not ignore is color psychology. So browse about various topics according to the syllabus and be confident.
