how many questions are need to be solved by obc ncl category student to qualify jee mains

For qualifying for the JEE mains exam, a candidate needs to score at least 75% marks aggregate for a general category students and for Reserved candidate it needs around 65% marks aggregated score See, there are no fixed criteria for the number of questions a candidate attempts for just qualifying, there are many other factors that depend in determining the cutoff and ranks. But minimum questions you can solve lie between 19-21 questions as each question consists of 4 marks.

So, I would suggest you solve as max as you can because the cutoff varies every year and the reason depends upon

• No. Of candidates
• Average marks
• No. of seats for General reserved home state quota and other categories.
• Previous year cutoff.

For OBC -NCL students expected cutoff marks for JEE Mains 2021 are 70-75 marks.

One question in jee mains carries 4 marks. So accordingly 18-20 questions are to solved (assuming each question attempted is correct) to qualify  for JEE Advanced 2021.
