In Assam there are 6 MBBS Colleges with the following seat capacity-
Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh- 170
Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati- 156
Jorhat Medical College, Jorhat- 100
Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital, Barpeta- 100
Silchar Medical College and Hospital, Silchar-. 100
Tezpur Medical College and Hospital, Tezpur- 100
And in each of these institute 7% seat is reserved for SC category
