Goa Medical College is a Government funded College and Hospital located in the Goa and happens to be one of the oldest medical colleges in Asia.
Goa Medical College offers 150 seats of MBBS Course with the duration is 5 ½ years including of 1-year Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship(Recognized for 100 seats after that it recognised increment in the seats from 100 to 150 when the degree granted after January 2017. Permitted for increase of seats from 150 to 180 MBBS seats for EWS quota under the 103rd constitution amendment for the year 2019-20).

In goa medical colleges there are approx 180 seats reserved for ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION (EWS) candidates.
Earlier the number of seats reserved for ews was 150 but last year the MCI have permission to add 30 more seats in 150 seats for EWS Candidates from session 2019-2020.
So, as of now, the total number of seats reserved for EWS is 180 in goa medical colleges.
