Hey Yashika

On instructions of the Government of India, 10 per cent EWS quota reservation will be applicable in MBBS admissions through NEET UG.This 10% quota would result in an increase of 25 seats at each of the government medical and dental colleges in the state, which will add up around 450 more medical seats to the existing pool.

Hope this helps

Hello,

The Department of Medical Education and Research, Punjab, is yet to take a decision regarding implementing the policy of 10 per cent reservation on MBBS and BDS seats for economically weaker section (EWS) candidates in the state.

In its notification for admission criteria on MBBS and BDS seats for 2019-2020 issued on June 6, the department has made no mention of EWS seats in the medical colleges of the state.

I hope this helps.
