There are a total of 77 seats in BHU, Dept of Sociology, 30 seats for DAV PG College, 30 seats for VCW- Rajghat, 30 seats for Arya Mahila P.G. College, for MA in Sociology. Many reservations are there on the seats Out of which the most prominent being:

15% are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC, 5% for PWD, 15% for BHU Employee Ward, 15% for Foreign Nationals.
