The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, commonly known as RGNUL, was founded in 2006 by the Punjab State Legislature. It is the first law school in the country.
The University has been authorised by the University Grants Commission and is recognised by the National Association of Accrediting Bodies (NAAC) with a "A" rating.
NIRF rated RGNUL as the 10th best law school in the country in 2019.
