It is hard to exactly pinpoint the number of students that appear for a particular category in JEE mains. But 7.5 percent of the total seats offered are reserved for students belonging to Scheduled Tribe category. It is 15 percent for Sheduled caste and 27 percent for OBC.

NTA released a press release about JEE January Mains session. A total of 921261 students registered a total of 869010 students appeared.
