How many students as compared to other courses opt for petroleum engineering and and what's the scope of it in India??

hello aspirant,

its not like how many are opting petroleum engineering stream, it depends on the individual perception and their ideas of thinking

but,  out of 10  ,there will be 6-7 students are taking this course depending up on their interests

Petroleum engineering has having a large scope in the present trend and there are plenty of jobs available for an petroleum engineer,  i  will list you some of the jobs and their career scope

1)Engineering technician, petroleum

2)pipeline welder

3) production engineers

4) drilling engineers

scope :

1)Employment of petroleum engineer is projected to grow 15 peecent over ten years

2) one can go for mining and geological engineering related jobs having plenty  of salary packages

3) oil prices will be major determinant of employment growth ,because many petroleum engineers work in oil and gas extraction

definitely there will be high salary packages and demand depending up on the field you enter in the petroleum engineering.
