Around 15 lakh students appear for NEET  UG  every year.According to NEET 2019 Post Result Analysis 44.59% of the total candidates who appeared for the exam were under OBC category.

As per the reservation criteria ,in the central universities and institutions seats will be reserved for GEN-EWS, OBC NCL, SC, ST and PwD candidates.27% of the total number of seats is reserved for OBC NCL category.
