In UPSC there are :-

  • 2 papers in prelims
  • 9 papers in mains

Here's the detail:-

Your UPSC civil services examination consists of three stages:-

1. Prelims

2. Mains

3.Interview

Your prelims exam consist of 2 papers : -

-----------)   general studies  1 :   -  You have History, Indian Polity, Geography, Environment, Current Affairs, Science and technology, etc.

-----------)   general studies II ( csat ) :-    You have :-Reasoning, Maths, English, Hindi, etc.
