Hello aspirant,

The subjects may changes from university to university but generally minimum 5 to 6 subjects are there for each semester. As in engineering there are 8 semesters so that average 40 subjects are there during the mechanical engineering. The description of these subjects given briefly below.

In first year there should some basic subjects like maths 1,2,3  and also basics of all streams of engineering is learned during the first year.

After first year from second year there should be technical subjects such s thermal engineering, Manufacturing process & technology, SOM, TOM, Machine drawing, fluid mechanics will be introduced.

After that in next some semesters another advance subjects such as heat exchange, refrigeration and air conditioning etc will be there.

In the last year there should some projects as well as some another advance technologies like polymer technology and all should there.

So this is the general outline of different subjects that will be generally included in the course of mechanical engineering in all universities.
