The success rate of the students giving WBCS exam is around 0.5%. But one should not get disheartened or feel less motivated by looking at these statistics. See there are no census available regarding your query. So giving you a figure is impossible. But I could point out some of the features for choosing a good elective subject:

  • Interest in the subject
  • Aptitude for the subject
  • Capacity to absorb information related to subject
  • The nature of the subject and time it requires for preparation
  • Size of syllabus
