A candidate gets a maximum of two attempts in consecutive years to appear for JEE Advanced.Considering
that they did not appear for jee advanced 2017 or earlier to that year.

thanks for asking your query as per the latest rule of jee advance a person could only give advance twice in whole life ,one during the current passing year of board and another one in the drop year ,you must understand that jee advance could be given in consecutive years only that is one in board and another in drop year.

According to NTA, a student can attempt JEE Main exam twice in a particular academic session. However, as per eligibility criteria & the age for appearing in JEE Mains 2019, a candidate can appear in the JEE Exam for 3 consecutive years.
