Hello Robme
Common Admission Test is the biggest MBA entrance test in India leading to admission in Top B schools and in all 20 IIMs.
The exam is conducted by IIMs in the month of November /December and is a yearly exam.
Eligibility criteria
-Completed Bachelor's degree with the required percentage of marks, or
-Completed Professional degree or should be in the final year with required percentagep
-No Age bar to register and appear in CAT exam
CAT preparation does not require you to study round the clock, instead study smartly with intelligent appproach will help you to achive scores.
Hi Robme! CAT scores are valid for one year. You may appear for multiple number of times and your score from the latest CAT will be considered. Even if you have got a higher or lower score in the previous year, it won't really affect your chance of admission. Basically, the credibility will be on the latest score and admission committees won't judge your previous performance or compare the scores. At most, they may ask you during interview the reason you appeared in CAT more than once. However, technically that won't be the deciding factor of your final selection if your score, past academic records and other parameters are at par. All the best!
