There are total of 23 IIT engineering colleges in India that offer nearly 12000 seats. they are increasing some seats year by year. those seat are allocated to students through Josaa counselling.

Hi there,

Out of all the students top 10,000 students get the seat at the iit. By 10000 I don't mean 10000 rank I meant students. Because in these seats there are some general seats some reserved seats for caste basis and some seats for girls as well.

But as every year some speacialised courses are coming therefore seats may rise upto 15000.

There are total 23 iits in the country.
