Hello dear ,
There is no fixed number of theory based questions in jee mains, the trend changes every year so it can't be predicted .Earlier the paper setter was CBSE now it is NTA who will set the paper. So don't go on guessing, try to learn every learning part as possible specially in inorganic and organic chemistry.
The number of theory questions is not fixed in JEE-Mains. But the number of numerical problems is more than the theoretical question. And if your theory is good enough then numerical problem automatically become easy for you. Do not take tensions for the number of question are they theoretical or numerical you just have to perform well in the exam, You just have to concern about You gonna perform well in the exam, And that's it.
Hope this will help you.
All the Best!!.

Hi Pir,
The number of questions which are theory based in the JEE MAINS paper can't be guessed as they are unpredictable. The number of theory-based questions is to be mentioned by the person setting the question and that is never revealed.
You can be assured that the chemistry section will have more theory based questions in comparison to the other 2 sections
