how many years job do in indian army we are eligible for para commando?
Dear Aspirant,
In order to get eligible for PARA COMMANDO you need to join NDA (quickest possible way) to join army after class 12th and after completing your degree from NDA, you will be sent to IMA for your military training. During your last term of IMA
you have volunteer for PARA course
. To do this course the volunteer needs to pass the probation period of around 6 months. The probie who clears this probation will be then sent for PARA course for PARA jumps. The candidate then becomes a paratrooper. But to become a PARA commando you need to earn a Balidaan badge on your uniform. It is then you are inducted in PARA SF (Special Forces). Hope this is helpful.
Have a great day!
Hello,
The volunteered officers are put through a probationary period/selection process of three months for Paratroopers Battalions and six months for Para (Special Forces) battalions, in order to be a Para (Special Forces) all personnel are first required to qualify as Paratroopers.
Once selected the candidates may choose to advance to the SF selection, which takes place twice a year in the spring and the autumn term.
Even though a candidate may have cleared selection, he is not formally inducted into the regiment until completion of the balidan padh where, after training, a candidate is involved in active operations in a hostile zone for a year. Provided the candidate survives the balidan padh , he is given the balidan badge and formally inducted into the regiment.
Hope this Helps,
Regards.
