An air hostess can work for approximately 45 years of age depending upon the airline's policies in which the person is working. An air hostess has an average career span of eight to ten years, after which she can move to the ground duties which include the job of a Check Hostess, training of air hostess, Ground hostess or work with the management level.

An Air Hostess can be later on promoted as Senior Flight Attendant and then Head Attendant.

The average salary is around Rs 48500 in India but it may vary with experience.
