Hello Aspirant,

Becoming a surgeon requires loads of years of practice, with this field you can even go for specialization in areas like orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular and may more.To be a surgeon in India:

MBBS(5.5 years)  (4.5 years academic education and 1 year compulsory internship)

MS in General Surgery(3 year)

Depending upon which surgical field you choose,3-8 years of residency

So it takes around 12-16 years to be a surgeon.

All the best for your future.

Hope your query is answered.
