As you will be knowing that fees vary from college to college not only in Bachelor of Technology but also in all other courses.

Most of the Universities/College of our nation who are providing B.Tech charges some extra fees which are usually called with a name tag of " Other Fees ".

These extra fees normally contains:

• Examination Fee
• Admission Fee
• Registration Fee
• Library/other academic goodies that are provided by some institutes Fee
• Caution money

& So on..

These fees range vary from college to college as I have already said. It may vary from 5k-20k colleges to colleges(normally in India).

Usually, Students who pursue b.tech go to coaching institutes for preparation of the competative exams namely GATE, UPSC etc.

If you can just give your 60% focus in classroom I don't think then one need tuition after that. Though it utterly depends upon the student.

Your question is a relative question. Personal expenses are not something one could predict or estimates as everyone has their own way of spending money. What is important for you may not be of any importance to your batchmate. However, if you want to know what it cost for things like projects, lab work, examinations fees, fees for backlogs, events, etc, then too, the answer is relative but this time it depends upon the college/university that you are in. In big private colleges, such expenses might go as high as up to 20k per semester or even more. For some government colleges, these might be under 5k per semester and for others may be more. Such a thing is something which you cannot really estimate.

For final year projects also expenditure completely depends upon your projects, some students might come up with a good idea which costs 10k and for others, this might be as high as 40k.
