Genetic engineering has a vast scope in India and abroad. In terms of salary, in India, at an entry level after graduation you can start at atleast 20000-25000 per month. However the salary in MNCs is much higher, where you can start at about Rs40-50K per month. This can go even above if you have a PhD. Thus it is a booming field, with huge earning potential especially in abroad.

Good Luck.
