As per your doubt I want to inform you that for being in safe zone you will have to score at least 8.5 CGPA so that you could change your branch.  It may vary with deduction but still it is a minimum one what  I am telling you for being in safe zone.

Coming to your question I would like to tell you that for changing a branch in pes University south campus and that to from ECE to cs or ise your CGPA should be atlest in between 9.8 to 10 or you must be in the category of the toppers because the seats in the respective branch is very less and there is a tough competition for the change in the branch as most of the people apply for getting the branch change,

To change a branch you need a CGPA above 8.7. then only you can change your branch in second year.

you can  ask your seniors for the details. They can explain you better to you how the process was previous year. YOu have to score as high as possible to make a branch change. Minimum is 8.5-8.7.

So prepare according to it.
