Correct Answer: 15 kg

Solution : Given: Cost of chicory = INR 100
Cost of coffee = INR 45
Cost of mixture = INR 60
By using alligation:

Ratio of Coffee = Cost of Chicory – Cost of mixture
Coffee = 100 – 60 = 40
Ratio of Chicory = Cost of mixture – Cost of Coffee
Chicory = 60 – 45 = 15
$\because $ The given value of coffee is 40 kg and the ratio is also 40.
Thus, the value of chicory is 15.
Hence, the correct answer is 15 kg.
