Dear aspirant,
This is a very appropriate question asked by you and I don't think anyone can answer better than me in this matter because I am myself was a ews category.
So let me tell the reality there is definitely a minute benefit in the reservation category for the obvious reasons. You can find a difference of maximum 1-2k rank in a branch's cut off and not more than that.
If you are thinking that you will score 20k rank and the cut off for cse let's say is 14-15k it's not possible for you to fetch this branch because the cut offs for ews category does not vary much with respect to general category.
hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great,
With reference to your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that the JEE mains cutoff ranks and percentile score varies every year and is different for different category students.
The cutoff depends on several factors like : Difficulty level of the paper, Number of aspirants appearing for examination, sets availaibility etc.
However, looking at the previous year, 2021, cutoff : There is an approx relaxation of 10-15 percentile score to EWS students over GEN category students.
The tentative qualifying marks for GEN category (common rank list) students is 89.75 for GEN (EWS category) is 78.21, for OBC-NCL is 74.31, for SC is 54, 44 for ST & 0.11371730 for PWD candidates.
