VITEEE never provides total mark scored by the student in the result. VITEEE result only provides your rank in the exam.
So, mark vs. rank is unpredictable for VITEEE.
It is assumed that a candidate should have to score at least 90 marks to secure a seat in Computer Science & Engineering at VIT Vellore campus under category A.
Below 7000 ranks in VITEEE will fetch you Computer Science & Engineering, under 13000 ranks will land you Electronics and Communication Engineering and under 19000 ranks will fetch you Mechanical Engineering at VIT Vellore campus under category A.

According, to careers 360 VIT Vellore has AAAA+ ratings.
Ratings are based on Faculty, Placements, Cut-offs of national / state level Entrance exams, Accreditation and Reward status and Publication record from Elsevier’s indexing database - Scopus.
In NIRF, VIT vellore is in 13th position.
If we compare the difficulty level of VITEEE exam from JEE Main then JEE Main level is higher then VITEEE.
You can solve previous year papers to understand the exam pattern and to know the level of the exam.

I will answer the difficulty level of VITEEE first. Note that the syllabus of JEE Mains and VITEEE is almost the same, so while preparing for the latter, please keep preparing JEE Mains. Then, VITEEE will be much easier to tackle.
