BITS Pilani is the top private university in India. So, obviously the fees is on a higher side, when compared to govt. institutions and other good private institutions.

For M.Sc. + B.E. dual degree, you have to study a year more on the campus (4 year for BE and 1 more year for your M.Sc.. The fees during this additional 1 year will be same as BE fees for subsequent year.

For Pilani Campus fees is as follows

Admission Fees 36,200 + Tuition Fees 1,59,000 per sem + Hostel Fees 11,750 per sem + Mess and Electricity advance 10,000 + Other Advances 12,000 per sem + Caution Deposit 3000 + Student Union and aid fee 675 per annum.

Total Amount per annum = 4,25,375

For Hyd. and Goa campuses Hostel fee is 15,750 per sem, rest all charges are same, making

Total Amount per annum = 4,33,375

Now here is a catch, the fee is set to get a minimum 15% increment every year, consider this,

in worst case (15% increment every year), your fee increases 50-60k every year, making your BE degree worth ~ 20 lacs, and for BE+MSc. 25 lacs.

Although, you can take teaching assistanceship from your 3rd year, where you are paid some amount every month in exchange of you taking some classes or helping in labs.

Other then this, you will be spending about 2-5k per sem on books/notebooks/labfiles etc.

• After considering all the expenses including food, transport and other expenses, the money to be spent on 4 years B.E  course sums up to 18lacs, ie.; 4.5lac per annum
• At present the fee is paid is about 1.75lacs per semester. And there is an extra disbursement of around 25k per semester.which accounts of 2lacs per semester, ie.. 16lacs for total semesters
• Keeping in mind the annual fee hike of BITS Pilani additional of 2lacs must be added to the lump sum giving a net expenditure of 18lacs
• Also, there are several scholarships provided by the insitute which helps for the students.
• But sometimes the fee structure changes according to the branches.
