how much hours should I study for IIT or BITSAT preparation
Its not about the quantity, but quality matters. I know people who cracked BITSAT and JEE with just 8-10 hours of regular study in class 11 and 12th.
And i also know people who put 12-14 hours but still not able to get a decent rank. So, its depends on candidate because everyone's mind is differently wired and one has to understand his weakness and strength and the try to capitalize on it.
Your focus shouldn't be on number of hours but your focus should be on completing the syllabus and solving every type of question. So put time accordingly, so that you syllabus gets completed, you do multiple revisions and then solve mocks and that will help you to get good rank.
I hope this helps.
Hi
More than the number of hours you study for preparation what matters is the quality of study. For example,
if you are studying 15 hours to 16 hours a day but without concentration and focus then it will be of less use as you will not be able to grasp well what you read and you will take longer time to cover a topic or chapter so quality matters a lot.
So, in general focused study of 7-8 hours a day is enough for preparation.
Also, you don't need to prepare separately for BITSAT and IIT i. e JEE advanced, if you prepare for JEE main and advanced you will have automatically good preparation for your BITSAT just go through previous year question papers of BITSAT and mock test paper for BITSAT after your preparation

Hello,
The number of hours that you spend studying in a day will depend on your endurance.
I think rather than fixing time it would be better to fix the topics you would finish that day, and then accordingly set time required to cover those topics.
I understand it becomes really difficult to concentrate on your studies, specially during this time.
Below I will share some tips that will help you to concentrate better:
-
Find a time which is best suitable for you to study. Some find it better to concentrate in the morning while others find they can do better in the night.
-
Decide what portions you would like to finish in that particular day
-
Prepare a timetable according to the above, keeping slots for breaks
-
Start studying with your favorite subject, so that you don’t get bored from the beginning itself
-
Take breaks when you get bored, and try to avoid studying at a stretch for a longer duration.
-
Always keep some time apart for your hobbies, exercise, etc.
-
Eat healthy food, sleep well and also socialise. A healthy mind is the most important for good concentration
-
Do some mind games like Sudoku, Crossword puzzles, Chess, etc
-
Also try meditation
Following these I am sure you will be able to improve your concentration
Good Luck
