Dear Naveen, 50% of weightage is given to the Theoretical marks of your 10+2 if you are applying for Engineering stream. Marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are considered and given 50% weightage and the rest 50% weightage is given to you KCET score. KCET is conducted for 180 marks and the subjects score is calculated for 3000. To Calculate the rank, your KCET score and 10+2 score out of 300 will be taken into consideration. For example, if you scored 100 in KCET and 200 in your 10+2, by applying the formula {(%KCET+%PUC)/200}*100, you get your approximate rank. Considering all this, PUC theory marks are considered important for your KCET rank.
