The minimum marks required in NEET in order to get into a government college depends on whether the candidate gets through state quota or All India quota.
The All India quota offers 15% seats in each government medical college all over India. The candidate will be able to apply for any college all over India if they have the required mark. The minimum mark required to get a seat under All India quota will be around 520 and varies according to the standard of colleges.
On the other hand the candidate can apply through the state quota only in their domicile. Through this, 85% of the seats in government medical colleges are offered to the students belonging to that particular state. This is the first time the state quota seats are filled through NEET scores all over India and can vary widely depending upon the state.
