hi Naveen,

Minimum marks criteria in 12th varies from college to college in India. For famous engineering institutes like IITs/NITs/BITS needs minimum 75% marks in 12th(for general/obc) and  65% marks in 12th(for sc/st). IIIT also wants minimum 75-80% in 12th class. Most of the state universities/colleges has a much lower criteria like 55%/60%. For example IP university, Delhi needs a minimum of 55% marks in 12th class. But if you do prepare for JEE with focus you can surely get good marks in boards.

well in 10+2 in science stream you need to get 55% to get in to BE CSE course which is offered by many institutions .but if you are looking for a specific institution to get into please do mention .
