Hello,

It is difficult to predict the exact marks because the marks vs rank and cut off rank tends to change every year depending on the number of candidates qualified, difficulty of exam and number of seats available etc. The cut off rank varies for each category and the branch. You have not mentioned your category and the branch you are interested in. Admission in IIT, Bombay is based on merit in JEE Advanced. Analysing the previous year cut off trends to get admission in to IIT, Bombay you need to score minimum 50-55% of total marks if you belong to general category, 45-50% of total score if you belong to general category and if you belong to SC/ST  you need to score minimum 40-45% of total score. This is an estimated score that you have to score to have good chances of getting seat in IIT, Bombay. The total marks for JEE advanced changes every year. Hello Aspirant,

As we go through the latest cut-off of 2020 then it shows that the closing rank for General category was 3720 for Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science branch in IIT Bombay. See it is quite difficult to tell you about exact marks to score because for JEE-Advance no maximum marks are fixed but yes with regards to JEE-Advance 2021 if you secure your AIR in JEE-Advance under top 3700 then there are good chances for you to get Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science branch in IIT Bombay.

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
