Basically,  you are having two options.

1. Just you need to be passed in 10 and in intermediate or10+2, you need to get at least 65% marks. So that you can get eligible for engineering.

2. After getting passed in 10th,  you  just need to join diploma in the field you want like mechanical,  ece, Eee etc..,  and after taking one test you can directly get into 2nd year of BTECH.

If you want to do engineering then class 10th marks is not of much importance.class 10th marks will only be used to take admission in best schools for taking science in class 11th.Actually,studying class 11th and 12th with great effort is important to clear entrance exams like JEE MAINS,JEE ADVANCED,VITEEE,SRMJEEE,...to take admission in engineering colleges.So first of all clear your class 10th with good marks.

If you want to do the engineering then you have to clear the class 11th and class 12th for it and the second option for you is that to do the diploma courses after the 10th class after which you can take the admission into the engineering colleges directly into the 2nd year.

But in the 10th class I would suggest you to atleast grab 80% and above marks for having a science stream in the class 11th.
