hello,
There are two types of cutoffs-qualifying cutoff and admission cutoff. by just clearing qualifying cutoff wont fetch you seat.you need to score more as different colleges has different cutoffs for various categories.generally for sc st the cutoff is 40th percentile which is 146-113.but for fetching seat in colleges you need minimum of 350+ for sc category.
target high and try to reach so that you don't have to worry about if u fetch the seat or not because in 2020 the cutoff rose by atleast 30-40+marks causing a difference in ranks by thousands.so prepare well.for more information regarding cutoffs refer to: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-karnataka
hope this helps,
thankyou.
Hi
I am guessing that you belong to general category and asking about MBBS seat in a Government Medical College
Predicting the marks required to get a seat in a medical college is quite difficult but when we go through previous year trends then
In neet 2019 , 352 marks for sc category was the cut off marks/ lowest marks that got an mbbs seat in a government medical college under karnataka state quota and it was for Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences, MADIKERI
You can check the same at
https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-karnataka
But yes,
cut off marks / rank for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the neet examination, kind of marks obtained by students in neet , toughness level of the neet examination, number of seats available etc.
So , you should try to get at least around 50 marks more in comparison of Neet 2019 in your Neet 2021 Examination to be on the safer side, so you should try to get at least around 400 marks.
Now , limited time is left for your neet 2021 examination, so focus on preparation, go through the chapters , practise questions and then revise them, go through mock test papers once you are done with complete syllabus.
